about

Written and performed by Richard Amp and Donald Ross Skinner with plenty of stargazing for inspiration along the way,

This is collection of soundtracks to both real and imaginary films......

This album was kick started by the track 'Interstate' written especially for an ‘art house’ road movie entitled 'Interstate 5' the film also featured music from 'Transmissions' and 'Unconscious Country" by Amp and Amp Studio respectively.
Donald and Richard then created nine more imaginary soundtracks, taking inspiration from the works of Philip K Dick
and the films of Tarkovsky
and gallery artists, The DnA Factory, who had suggested to Amp an idea of producing music to an exhibition.

Karine appears on this record in spirit only, as she was on a sabbatical at the time.

“...Outposts on the other hand is more ambient than some of their other albums. Karine doesn’t appear on this album at all but it’s yet another EXQUISITE LISTEN.”

MC Strong:
"Occupying musical territory somewhere between shoegazing and the Bristol 'Trip Hop' sound, AMP had created a work of sweeping soundscapes, echoing ambience and waves of feedback."
